Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is seeking a Weld Technician - 2nd Shift for our Troy, IL facility. You will read blueprints and welding symbols, perform quality inspections, and work with a cross-functional team to ensure welded components meet quality standards.

The role uses robotic welders and various manual welding equipment; candidates should have at least 6 months in manufacturing and be within the 50-mile radius of Troy. Benefits start day one and a comprehensive package is offered.

Qualifications

Job description

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Weld Technician - 2nd Shift at our Troy, IL facility! The core hours are Monday - Friday, 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.

The hourly rate for this position is $25.44 per hour, plus a $0.50 shift differential.

What You’ll Do

The Welding Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and precision of welded components. The technician will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints and welding symbols, participating in quality inspections, and collaborating within a cross-functional team of skills welders.

In This Function, You Will

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure weld integrity and product standards.
• Equipment used in this role includes robotic welders, hand welders, progressive welders, and AutoMig welding equipment.
  
  
  

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• A minimum of six (6) months’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
