Eaton’s Hodges facility in South Carolina is seeking a Fabrication Technician II for the 3rd shift. You will prepare aluminum and copper busbars by operating manual presses, grinders, and taping bars for epoxy processing at the Lake Greenwood location.

The role requires following safety guidelines, maintaining 5S+, and using calipers and gauges to meet precise tolerances. Eligible for a variable incentive program and shift premium.

Qualifications

  • Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Live within 50 miles of the Hodges, SC work site.
  • 3+ months of manufacturing or industrial fabrication experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with environment, health, and safety guidelines.
  • Sustain 5S+ in the work area.
  • Receive work assignments from supervisor or production control system.
  • Input data into the company data collection system as required.
  • Set up and operate heavy machinery including presses, saws, and drills.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery (oil, clamps, finger replacements).
  • Load, unload, transport, and position heavy loads using material handling equipment.
  • Utilize calipers and gauges to ensure engineering standards to the .001 precision level.
  • Perform statistical process control on machinery as required.
  • Flex to fabrication work areas as needed (Geka shear, housing punch, etc.).

This position is based at our Lake Greenwood, SC location.Position Overview:The Fabrication Technician II will prepare aluminum and copper busbars for assembly by operating manual presses, hand grinders, and taping bars prior to being sent to the Epoxy process. In addition, use material handling equipment to load, unload, transport, and position heavy loads.• Be familiar with all materials used to perform job functions.
