Marshallbio seeks a Facilities Fabrication Tech to support various departments by performing routine maintenance and basic fabrication tasks. Description
The Facilities Fabrication Tech will perform a wide range of tasks to support various departments and properties of the Marshall Group. Some responsibilities are but not limited to routine repairs and maintenance of moving carts, feed carts, etc., basic fabrication of various metal, plastic, wood, parts for animal pens, shipping crates, etc.
This position is a grade F3 with an hourly pay range of $18.27-$27.41.

Experience/Education:
Combination of education/experience that demonstrates proficiency in principles and practices of parts fabrication, basic carpentry, mechanical ability, etc.
Requires valid NYS driver’s license.
Competency Requirements:
· Capable of effectively, consistently and efficiently performing essential tasks daily.
· Combine both manual/specialized skills and knowledge to efficiently complete daily tasks.
· Ability to work with others and independently.
· Ability to work offsite unsupervised.
· Basic mechanical, carpentry and general maintenance abilities.

Work Conditions:
· Fast-paced environment
· Work completed both indoors and outside in all weather conditions
· Duties are performed primarily on 1st shift, 7:00am - 3:30pm, M-F.
· Varying extended hours may be required to meet project timelines. ·
Requirement to be part of the Facilities on call rotation schedule and regular after-hours availability if needed for specialized equipment/systems that limit personnel qualified to work on them.
· May be required to be part of the snow removal team and available to come in early during the week and alternating weekends, through the winter season
· Out-of-town travel to other facilities may be required for multiple days, which may involve an overnight stay near the local facility.
· Regular exposure to a variety of physical conditions, such as high noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working in high heat and humidity, working at various heights on ladders or other platforms, exposure to various chemicals, dirt, manure, etc.
· Must be clean shaven or willing to shave at a moment’s notice to properly wear a respirator / N95 mask if needed.
· Required to adhere to Barrier Affidavit requirements. (Flu Shot Required)
Physical Requirement:
· Ability to stand, kneel, work with arms above head for long periods of time.
· Considerable use of arms and legs including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling of materials.
· Work may be strenuous at times and include lifting heavy objects, standing, stooping, and kneeling for long periods of time.
· This position requires manual dexterity and exceptional eye-hand coordination.
· Ability to work at various heights and in confined spaces.
Mental Requirement:
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
· Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and various levels of management if needed.
· Ability to apply problem solving skills and know when something is beyond one’s capabilities and request help from other qualified employees when needed.
· High attention to detail and accuracy required.
