Assist in the mechanical assembly of industrial engines, coolers, generators, and related components, including equipment alignment to meet WPI packaging standards. Run screwed piping for utilities, install safety shut-downs, guards, and shields as required. Training with Class B, A, Journeyman, etc., in the duties described below.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overhauling various compressor frames and cylinders.
  • Assist in setting and aligning coolers, installing vessels, running screwed piping for engine utilities, installing safety shutdowns, and assisting in aligning engines to compressors.

Follow daily instructions from Leaderman, Journeyman, & Class A. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Some mechanical knowledge is helpful.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Trade school or special service training preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Ability to effectively operate a forklift.
  • Ability to effectively operate overhead cranes.
