Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Technology, Industrial Technology, Welding, Automation, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new equipment, processes, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and basic manufacturing documentation.
  • Ability to use measuring devices and inspection equipment to verify product quality.
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to enter production information and labor transactions within an ERP system.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain productivity with limited supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a small team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate manufacturing equipment to produce components in accordance with engineering drawings.
  • Perform cutting, drilling, punching, and other fabrication activities while maintaining established quality standards and production requirements.
  • Support the operation of automated manufacturing equipment using established programs and procedures.
  • Verify completed work meets quality requirements using measuring and inspection equipment and report any non-conforming conditions.
  • Support painting preparation and finishing operations, including cleaning, surface preparation, masking, painting, and inspection activities.
  • Assist with developing and refining manufacturing processes as new equipment, products, or capabilities are introduced.
  • Monitor material availability and communicate inventory shortages, quality concerns, equipment issues, or production constraints to appropriate personnel.
  • Accurately record labor, production activity, and other required transactions within the ERP system.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, planning, quality, and other departments to meet business objectives and customer expectations.
  • Provide support across fabrication, machining, and other manufacturing functions as business needs require.
  • Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, delivery, and operational efficiency and actively participate in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Actively develop new skills and process knowledge, take ownership or assigned responsibilities, and demonstrate initiative in supporting departmental and organizational goals.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures while safely and efficiently operating equipment and maintaining a clean, organized, and professional work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
