The Fabrication Technician plays a vital role in the assembly and testing of products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance. As a key member of the production team, the Fabrication Technician is responsible for accurately assembling components, executing subassembly and final detailing tasks, and consistently delivering on customer expectations for on-time delivery and product excellence. Working in a dynamic manufacturing environment, this role requires a solid foundation in mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

As a Fabrication Technician, you will engage in a variety of hands-on activities, including learning to use specialty tools, interpreting technical documents such as blueprints and engineering orders, and performing both routine and moderately complex assembly and testing functions. Fabrication Technician - Summary

• Responsible for assembling and testing industrial products to meet customer quality and delivery requirements.
• Works closely with team leads and trainers to complete work orders efficiently.
• Utilizes mechanical and technical skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ensures adherence to safety protocols and company standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Accurately assemble and test subassemblies and final products according to work orders, blueprints, and engineering instructions.
• Perform routine and moderately complex assembly and detailing functions using hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, and testing equipment.
• Learn and follow established safety protocols; proactively address any safety issues or violations.
• Polish and grind parts to meet order specifications, utilizing specialized equipment as needed.
• Interpret and follow customer orders, bill of materials, and quality directives to ensure proper pressure settings and O-ring changes on multiple product types.
• Complete documentation for all tested pumps and products, ensuring accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
• Advise team lead of required or suggested tool enhancements to optimize workflow.
• Report any damaged items that may prevent completion of work orders.
• Maintain effective communication and collaboration within the team environment.
• May perform other related responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of general mechanical work experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and test specifications accurately.
• Proficient in basic mathematical calculations and possess strong verbal, written, and basic computer skills.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
