Advantage Technical is hiring a Fabrication Technician in Batavia, OH, to join a fast-paced fabrication team. The role involves welding automotive components, fabricating parts from sheet metal and structural materials, and assembling components to engineering specs.

You’ll interpret blueprints, operate plasma cutters, and ensure quality and safety across diverse projects. The ideal candidate has strong MIG/TIG skills, experience in automotive fabrication, and solid reading of blueprints.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive fabrication and welding experience.
• Strong MIG and TIG welding skills.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Leadership experience is a plus.
• Experience with plasma tables or plasma cutting equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on automotive components and assemblies.
• Fabricate custom parts using sheet metal, pipe, and structural materials.
• Cut, bend, weld, and assemble components to engineering specifications.
• Build and modify gas tanks, suspension components, bumpers, engine mounts, transmission cross members, and air intake systems.
• Operate fabrication equipment, plasma cutters, and machining tools.
• Complete light body repair work and panel installation.
• Align and fit doors, hoods, tailgates, quarter panels, and related components.
• Read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Maintain quality standards and safe work practices.

Pay Rate: $28.00 - $30.00/hour

We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Technician to join a fast-paced fabrication team. This hands-on opportunity offers a variety of custom metal fabrication projects where no two days are the same.

Job Duties

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on automotive components and assemblies
• Fabricate custom parts using sheet metal, pipe, and structural materials
• Cut, bend, weld, and assemble components to engineering specifications
• Build and modify gas tanks, suspension components, bumpers, engine mounts, transmission cross members, and air intake systems
