Job summary

Employee Workplace in Batavia, OH is hiring a Fabrication Technician to join a fast-paced automotive fabrication team. This hands-on role involves MIG and TIG welding, fabricating parts from sheet metal, pipe, and structural materials, and reading blueprints.

You will operate plasma cutters and machining tools, perform light body repair, align panels, and ensure quality and safety standards. Prior welding experience and blueprint reading are required; leadership experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive fabrication and welding experience.
• Strong MIG and TIG welding skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on automotive components and assemblies.
• Fabricate custom parts using sheet metal, pipe, and structural materials.
• Cut, bend, weld, and assemble components to engineering specifications.
• Build and modify gas tanks, suspension components, bumpers, engine mounts, transmission cross members, and air intake systems.
• Operate fabrication equipment, plasma cutters, and machining tools.
• Complete light body repair work and panel installation.
• Align and fit doors, hoods, tailgates, quarter panels, and related components.
• Read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Maintain quality standards and safe work practices.

Are you an experienced welder and fabricator with a passion for automotive projects? We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Technician to join a fast-paced fabrication team. This hands-on opportunity offers a variety of custom metal fabrication projects where no two days are the same.

Job Duties

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on automotive components and assemblies
• Fabricate custom parts using sheet metal, pipe, and structural materials
• Cut, bend, weld, and assemble components to engineering specifications
• Build and modify gas tanks, suspension components, bumpers, engine mounts, transmission cross members, and air intake systems
• Operate fabrication equipment, plasma cutters, and machining tools
