You will oversee safety practices, quality control, and collaboration with other departments to meet production deadlines. A strong improvement mindset and hands-on leadership are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely lift and carry parts to workstation and operate hoist as needed.
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, or drawings.
• Supervise team to meet KPI goals and 5S standards.
• Train team members and administer performance reviews.
• Ensure quality control, safety guidelines, and PPE usage.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet production deadlines.

5:00am – 3:15pm, Monday through Thursday (overtime hours as needed)

Job Summary

The Fabrication Team Lead is responsible for leading, monitoring, and supervising a group of employees to achieve organizational goals all while working alongside the team. This role involves motivating and inspiring the team to achieve KPI goals, 5S strategies all while assigning tasks, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.

Responsibilities

• Safely lift and carry parts to your workstation, operate a hoist when necessary
• Use a mallet, hammer, or chisel to free parts from the sheet metal
• Inspect metal parts for burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized deburring equipment to smooth edges and surfaces
• Ensure all parts meet quality control specifications and tolerances
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, or technical drawings
• Follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to meet production deadlines
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including taking cardboard to the assigned disposal area
• Assign tasks and communicate clear instructions to team members
• Train team members to enhance their skills and performance
• Help define and set goals for the team and monitor progress towards achieving company KPI goals
• Create and administer performance reviews to team members
• Create an inspiring and motivating environment for the team
• Organize work and ensure efficient workflow utilizing 5S principles
• Additional duties as assigned
