Job summary

Daifuku Intralogistics in Indiana seeks a seasoned Machine Operation Supervisor to lead the Roller Shop team, schedule staff, and drive efficient fabrication workflows. You will perform layouts, set-ups, and hands-on work while upholding quality and safety standards.

Candidates should have 5+ years of supervisory experience in steel fabrication, 8+ years in the field, and strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. LO TO certification is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a steel fabrication environment.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience with steel fabrication.
• Familiarity with steel fabrication procedures, operation, and setup of equipment.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
• Strong communication and computer skills.
• Proven supervisory abilities and conflict resolution.
• LOTO certification required.

Responsibilities

• Leads the daily work of the Machine Operation team, including scheduling staff and assigning work.
• Performs layouts and set-ups and hands-on fabrication as required.
• Reviews work for accuracy, neatness, and conformance to production guidelines and safety standards.
• Provides training to new and existing employees.
• Assists Plant Manager with selection, performance management, and compensation decisions.
• Recommends equipment upgrades, staffing adjustments, and process improvements.
• Leads safety initiatives and improvements.
• Delivers clear written and verbal instructions.
• Standardizes procedures to improve efficiency.
• Ensures compliance with Daifuku Intralogistics' QMS policies.
