Job summary

Daifuku Intralogistics in Indiana seeks a seasoned Machine Operation Supervisor to lead the Roller Shop team, schedule staff, and drive efficient fabrication workflows. You will perform layouts, set-ups, and hands-on work while upholding quality and safety standards.

Candidates should have 5+ years of supervisory experience in steel fabrication, 8+ years in the field, and strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. LO TO certification is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a steel fabrication environment.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience with steel fabrication.
• Familiarity with steel fabrication procedures, operation, and setup of equipment.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
• Strong communication and computer skills.
• Proven supervisory abilities and conflict resolution.
• LOTO certification required.

Position Summary:

Supervises activities of the Machine Operation team in Roller Shop, which fabricates products for Daifuku Intralogistics material handling projects.

Responsibilities

• Leads the daily work of the Machine Operation team, including scheduling staff, planning and assigning work, implementing policies and procedures, purchasing, and ensuring efficient workflow
• Performs layouts and set-ups and does hands‑on fabrication work as required
• Reviews work for accuracy, neatness, and conformance to production guidelines and quality and safety standards
• Provides training to new and existing employees
• Assists the Plant Manager with selection and performance management of employees and recommending compensation
• Recommends equipment upgrades, staffing adjustments, improvements in procedures and working conditions, and process modifications
• Leads safety initiatives and improvements
• Gives the team written and oral instructions
• Standardizes procedures to improve efficiency
• Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku Intralogistics' QMS policies and procedures. Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of steel fabrication procedures, operation, and set‑up of all equipment, reading and interpreting blueprints, and creating jigs and fixtures
