Job description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Work under the direction of a Foreman. Layout, install, maintain, and repair all types of piping systems for maintenance, tank, and new construction. Must possess a high level of skill in the industrial maintenance, turnaround, construction, or mechanical environment.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

1. Support the company's commitment to safety and core values.
2. Represent the company with high moral standards, adhering to the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
3. Understand instructions and work from prints regarding assignments.
4. Interpret drawings and sketches, plan work procedures, and select materials per engineering standards.
5. Lay out work, calculate dimensions, and sketch piping systems as needed.
6. Operate bending, threading, and cutoff equipment; use hand tools or torch to shape and prepare pipe.
7. Assemble and test piping components.
8. Prepare pipes for welded or special joints.
9. Install hangers and supports.
10. Handle materials, equipment, and tools to and from the job site.
11. Report work performed.
12. Identify safety hazards and take corrective actions.
13. Perform duties with a high standard of accuracy (Quality Control).
14. Work from drawings and blueprints if required.
15. Work independently after proper instruction from a foreman, leading helpers and laborers safely.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

1. At least four years of refinery maintenance, turnaround, or construction experience.
2. Knowledge of basic hand tools; ability to pass the Pipefitter Skills Test at 70% or NCCER certification.
3. Complete Matrix Service Safety training, Process Safety Management training, and site-specific training.
4. Maintain active status in the drug testing program.
5. Pass background check; TWIC & HHFT cards preferred.

Pay range in Washington: $34.88 - $46.52 per hour, with full range up to $31.00 - $46.52 per hour including overtime. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k), employee stock purchase plan, wellness programs, and adoption assistance.
