Job summary

Nexus Disposal, LLC in Houston, TX seeks a Fabrication Shop Manager to oversee the fabrication shop, focused on building, repairing, and maintaining roll-off and front-load dumpsters. You will lead a team of fabricators and welders, manage dumpster inventory, and coordinate with sales for production timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational welding/fabrication certification preferred.
• 5+ years of metal fabrication experience including structural welding and dumpster fabrication.
• 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong understanding of roll-off and front-load dumpster construction standards.
• Experience welding on diesel trucks or heavy equipment.
• Proficient with fabrication tools, welders, torches, grinders, and measuring instruments.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
• Excellent communication and team leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily fabrication shop operations ensuring workflow, quality, and deadlines.
• Lead fabrication/repair of roll-off and front-load dumpsters to meet standards.
• Perform and assign welding repairs on diesel trucks and fleet equipment as needed.
• Manage on-site dumpster inventory including status tracking.
• Coordinate with sales for real-time inventory and timelines.
