Superior Rigging & Erecting Co. in Atlanta, Georgia seeks an experienced Fabrication Shop Superintendent to own daily operations in our fabrication shop.

This role drives production planning, quality, and safety, with a focus on leadership over hands-on work. You will translate project schedules into production plans, supervise welders, fitters, and shop leads, and push for on-time delivery while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience in a structural steel fabrication shop.
• Experience supervising welders, fitters, and fabrication personnel.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication processes and shop operations.
• Ability to read and interpret structural steel shop drawings.
• Experience managing production schedules, manpower, and workflow.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work full-time onsite in Atlanta, Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication operations.
• Convert project schedules into daily and weekly production plans, crew assignments, labor requirements, and overtime needs.
• Establish expectations and hold shop personnel accountable for attendance, productivity, workmanship, safety, and workplace conduct.
