Job summary

Trillium Staffing is seeking a Shop Assistant to support our client’s fabrication team. Responsibilities include pulling and prepping raw materials, assisting operators, grinding, deburring, tapping and drilling as needed, and ensuring materials are tracked accurately.

The role may involve operating lasers, brake presses, and saws. A mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn are strongly valued; training is available.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years' work history in an industrial/shop environment.
• Previous fabrication shop experience a huge plus.
• Ability to multi-task and take on new duties.
• Experience with hand/power tools.
• Experience with micrometers and calipers a huge plus.
• Able to lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Pull and prep raw materials for upcoming orders.
• Assist machine operators and welders with production needs.
• Grind/deburr, tap, drill as required.
• Ensure raw materials are accounted for and tracked.
• Assist with operation of lasers, brake presses, saws and other fabrication methods.
