Blue Origin is seeking a Fabrication Operations Shift Leader in Huntsville, Alabama, to manage production teams on assigned shifts with a focus on machining, welding and precision assembly. You’ll ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery while driving continuous improvement and lean initiatives.

The role requires 5+ years in fabrication or manufacturing, 3+ years supervising teams, and strong reading of engineering drawings.

Qualifications

5+ years of fabrication or manufacturing experience in aerospace or related industries.
3+ years of direct supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of fabrication processes including machining, welding and assembly.
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in a production environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Lead safety and quality leadership during shift operations.
Supervise and coordinate fabrication technicians on assigned shift.
Meet production targets and optimize equipment, tools and personnel use.
Provide technical guidance on fabrication tasks and ensure procedures are followed.
Identify process improvements and participate in root cause analysis for quality issues.
Maintain shift records, conduct handovers, and communicate with management.
