Job summary

PowerSecure seeks a Fabrication Quality Control Technician to ensure welds, paint, powder coat, and metal fabrication for products made at the DI Campus and Randleman location meet design documents and customer specifications.

You will inspect finished materials for dimensions and weld penetration, document results, and assist in NCR tracking. Strong reading of drawings and English communication are required, with a focus on right-the-first-time quality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in quality assurance and/or fabrication.
• Understand a wide variety of welding techniques.
• Weld, paint or fabrication knowledge and experience.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, weld/ coating symbols, work instructions.
• Capable of data entry into a database.
• Proficient with basic math and measurement units.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Certifications preferred: CAWI, Paint Inspector, CQQI, not required.
• Quality control processes and right-the-first-time mindset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, healthy work environment following standards and regulations.
• Understand UL file requirements and manufacturing practices in steel/aluminum.
• Maintain and verify inspection equipment.
• Approve finished products against specs, identify defects.
• Discuss results with product teams and document findings.
• Track non-conforming material and NCRs.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing and quality for continual improvement.
