Job summary

Lexicon, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to lead a construction project on site in Austin, TX.

You will be accountable for client communication, schedule adherence, cost control, and coordination with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management and at least four years of steel fabrication/erection experience, with familiarity with AISC/OSHA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with steel fabrication and erection.
• Familiar with AISC and OSHA requirements.
• Detail oriented with strong written/verbal communication.
• Understanding of financial aspects of construction projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project.

Responsibilities

• The Project Manager is responsible for all contractual responsibilities on the construction project including client communication, schedule, deliveries, documentation, document control, cost control, contract change orders, supplier and subcontractor management and onsite coordination.
• Act as primary contact with the customer.
• Prepare and maintain a detailed project schedule including drawing approvals, shop issues, deliveries to site, buy out items and erection onsite.
• Submit pay applications to client and track all payments.
• Oversee coordination of scope changes with client, detailer, fabrication shop and erector, and provide direction to involved parties.
