Job summary

Messer Americas is seeking a Fabrication Project Manager to plan, execute, and close projects for new builds and refurbishments of Messer food equipment. You will manage budgets, schedules, and resources while aligning with cross-functional teams to meet scope, time, and cost targets.

Responsibilities include risk management, safety adherence, and stakeholder communication to drive successful project outcomes in North American markets. Travel up to 30% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience managing projects in manufacturing or process industries.
• Knowledge of project management practices and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage project budgets and schedules up to $1,000,000.
• Ensure BOMs and manuals are accurate for equipment assignments.
• Lead application equipment projects in North American markets.
• Oversee procurement and fabrication with fabricators and vendors.
• Incorporate safety into design, execution, and commissioning activities.
• Deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
• Resolve equipment issues at customer and fabrication sites.
• Evaluate consultants, vendors, and contractors for capabilities.
• Validate equipment functionality with testing protocols.
• Manage procurement to control costs and ensure on-time delivery.
• Participate in design reviews and HAZOPs.
• Complete close-out checklists and file as-built manuals.
