Job summary

Fouts Bros Inc. in Georgia is seeking a Fabrication Production Planner to create, schedule, monitor, and close FAB production orders in Microsoft Dynamics AX, and to purchase raw materials for FAB production.

The role ensures fabrication aligns with sales orders, capacity, and priorities, serving as the link between sales demand, suppliers, and shop floor execution. You will coordinate with sales, purchasing, inventory, warehouse, and production teams to ensure material availability and schedule

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience in production planning, scheduling, inventory control, manufacturing coordination.
• Experience with purchasing, vendor communication, raw material planning, or procurement support preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar ERP system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review sales order shipment needs and determine required fabricated components, quantities, and due dates.
• Create internal FAB production orders in Microsoft Dynamics AX based on sales order demand and priorities.
• Plan and maintain the FAB shop production schedule to support shipments and operational needs.
• Coordinate material availability, capacity, and schedule feasibility across teams.
• Purchase required raw materials from outside vendors to support FAB production schedules.
• Coordinate with vendors on pricing, lead times, and delivery status.
• Monitor open FAB orders to ensure timely release, start, completion, and closure.
• Update production orders and related data in AX as priorities change.
• Communicate schedule changes, shortages, delays, and risks affecting shipments.
• Demonstrate vendor negotiation skills and support cost, quality, and schedule objectives.
• Maintain accuracy of BOMs, inventory transactions, and material consumption.
