Job summary

Fouts Bros Inc. is seeking a Fabrication Production Planner to create, schedule, monitor, and close internal FAB shop production orders in Microsoft Dynamics AX, while purchasing required raw materials to support FAB production.

The role links sales demand, material availability, shop floor execution, and inventory consumption to ensure on-time delivery. You will coordinate with sales, purchasing, inventory, warehouse, and production teams to confirm material availability, capacity, and schedule

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience in production planning, scheduling, inventory control, manufacturing coordination, or related role.
• Experience with purchasing, vendor communication, raw material planning, or procurement support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review sales order shipment needs and determine required fabricated components, quantities, and due dates.
• Create internal FAB production orders in Microsoft Dynamics AX based on demand and priorities.
• Plan and maintain the FAB shop production schedule to support shipments and internal needs.
• Coordinate with sales, purchasing, inventory, warehouse, and production teams to confirm material availability, capacity, and feasibility.
• Purchase required raw materials from outside vendors to support FAB production schedules and inventory requirements.
• Monitor open FAB production orders to ensure timely release, start, completion, and closure.
• Update production orders in Dynamics AX as priorities change.
• Communicate schedule changes, shortages, delays, and risks affecting shipments.
