Wieland North America, Inc. is seeking a Product Development Engineer in Duncansville, PA, with an on-site commitment to support fabrication and tooling improvements.

The role emphasizes collaboration with operators and engineers to meet production goals and drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate holds an associates degree or technical diploma in fabrication or mechanical engineering, with hands-on knowledge of tube fabrication, tooling, blueprint reading, and CAD tooling design,

Qualifications

• Associates degree, technical diploma or equivalent experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering.
• Strong knowledge of tube fabrication processes, tooling, and machine operation.
• Experience with blueprint reading, CAD models, and tooling design preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet production deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead collaboration with operators, engineers and production supervisors to meet site goals.
• Mentor fabrication department personnel through training and best-practice sharing.
• Ensure new product launches meet deadlines; manage tooling projects on schedule.
• Maintain documentation, support new equipment research, and drive continuous improvement.
• Update and maintain fabrication SOPs with current processes, tooling setups and quality standards.
• Analyze fabrication processes to identify inefficiencies and propose improvements.
• Assist in machine programming to support efficient production.
• Identify opportunities to enhance fabrication efficiency, quality, and safety.
