Job summary

nVent is seeking a Fabrication Operator in Solon, Ohio. You will perform fabrication operations using a wide range of hand and power tools, set up equipment per SOP/MOPs, and position materials according to print specifications.

The role requires reading drawings, following instructions, and maintaining safety and 5S standards in a fast-paced environment. You will also verify measurements with micrometers/calipers, operate multiple machines, and help ensure on-time production while recording

Qualifications

• Experience assembling mechanical parts into finished products.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand and work from drawings/blueprints and instructions.
• Safety conscious with attention to quality and deadlines.
• Experience using micrometers, calipers, scales and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and solve root problems to ensure production flow.
• Set up and operate heavy-duty power equipment per blueprints and templates.
• Maintain 5S standards and keep a clean, safe work area.
• Record Manufacturing Orders and manage inventory records.
• Move materials using pallet jack or lift truck if qualified.
• Report faulty equipment and non-conformances to supervisors.
