Job summary

The Greenbrier Companies is seeking an Operator 1 to fabricate railcar component parts by operating a variety of machinery including saws, presses, and drills. You’ll work to meet close and complex tolerances in a production environment.

The role requires reading drawings, inspecting parts, and using common measuring equipment, with emphasis on safety and quality. The work includes standing for long periods in a heat/noise environment and teamwork to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• 6+ months experience operating various types of manufacturing equipment and machinery
• Ability to operate a computer to run reports, send and receive communication, etc.
• Ability to work in a team or independently

Responsibilities

• Assembles and grinds products using grinders, tables or conveyor systems.
• Monitors output and proper operation of mechanical equipment.
• Reads drawings and follows production standards and uses measuring tools.
