Job summary

GEORG FISCHER is seeking a Fabrication Supervisor to plan, coordinate, and supervise daily fabrication activities in a facilities setting. You will lead a team, optimize resources, and ensure safe, efficient production aligned with customer requirements and company standards.

You will develop employees, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement through Lean initiatives and strong collaboration with Quality and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training, vocational certification, associate degree, or college coursework preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial operations.
• Experience with industrial equipment, fabrication processes, welding operations, and quality control systems.
• Experience implementing process improvements or Lean Manufacturing initiatives preferred.
• SAP or ERP system experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise daily fabrication activities to meet production schedules, quality requirements, and customer expectations.
• Assign work, establish priorities, and coordinate labor, equipment, and resources to achieve departmental objectives.
• Develop production plans and adjust resources to support customer demand while maximizing operational efficiency.
• Monitor production performance, labor utilization, workflow efficiency, and productivity metrics.
• Ensure fabrication labor hours, production data, and required documentation are accurately completed.
• Maintain 5S/6S in work areas and drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
