Job summary

L2x Talent Solutions seeks an experienced fabrication operations leader in the US to oversee manufacturing performance, lead cross-functional teams, and drive efficiency in sheet metal production. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and meeting weekly production demands.

The candidate will coordinate with engineering and quality teams, manage discipline processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement in a high-mix environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent manufacturing experience required.
• 8+ years in sheet metal/fabrication manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes (milling, forming, turrets, punch press, laser cutting/marking, welding, grinding, painting).
• 5+ years of management/supervisory experience in fabrication.
• Experience with low-volume, high-mix fabrication and schedule variability.
• Experience communicating schedules with customers/internal teams.
• Experience leading managers, leads, and hourly staff.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to strategic operations planning and implementation.
• Meet IMS-EP objectives for fabrication teams.
• Lead weekly GEMBA meetings with Zone teams.
• Review daily production schedules and plan accordingly.
• Assign duties after interpreting specs and drawings.
• Monitor progress and provide expertise to meet weekly demands.
• Develop and supervise hourly fabrication teams.
• Identify cross-training opportunities to improve capacity.
• Ensure short throughput time and adapt to demand.
• Suggest improvements to safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Plan capacity and downtime for maintenance.
• Review reports to diagnose nonconformities.
• Coordinate with engineering on equipment modifications.
• Enforce company policies and health/safety guidelines.
• Address employee issues with HR; handle disciplinary actions.
• Other tasks as assigned.
