Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation in the United States seeks a Fabrication-Mill Machinist to support our distribution center operations. You will operate industrial wood processing equipment and ensure safety, quality and timely loading/unloading as part of a skilled team.

Key duties include setting up saws and planer, reading measurements, training others, and maintaining equipment while upholding BlueLinx's safety culture and service standards.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in mill operations required.
• Experience with wood scrolls and brackets.

Responsibilities

• Must have ability to operate rip saw, band saw, dario(scroll) saw and planer as well as ability to set up same.
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Experience with wood scrolls and brackets
• Check all outbound orders for accuracy and quality
• Maintain equipment and notify Mill Manager of needed maintenance supplies
• Assist to train others in resaw and planer operations
• Other duties as assigned
