Job summary

Alaskan Copper Works in Seattle is seeking a Fabrication Metalworker (Fitter) to fit and assemble tanks, pipes, and heat exchangers on a day shift. The role requires 3+ years of pipe and plate fitting experience, reading blueprints and tape measures, and the ability to lift weights as specified.

English communication is essential for on-site coordination. Day shift runs from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm at 3405 6th Avenue South, Seattle.

Qualifications

Requirements To Be Considered For Position

Required Essential Job Skills/Experience

1. At least 3 years of experience pipe and plate fitting, preferably with stainless steel.

• Must be able to read blueprints and specifications.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and up to 100 lbs. rarely.
• Accurately read tape measure to 1/16”.
• Able to read, write, understand and communicate in English.

Desirable Job Skills/Experience

Ability to operate shear, press brake, drills, and grinders.

Required Essential Job Functions/Duties

• Layout and prepare components for tanks, heat exchanger assembly and pipe spooling.
• Work off blueprints; fit up tanks, heat exchangers and pipe spooling.
• Directing activities of Welders, Assistant Fabrication Metalworkers and Helpers who may be assisting.
