Job summary

Metric DCX in Houston is seeking a Fabrication / Manufacturing Engineer to drive production-ready processes for modular data centres. The role focuses on taking designs from prototype to repeatable production and scaling manufacturing for rapid deployment.

You’ll collaborate with electrical, mechanical and thermal teams to improve assembly methods, quality, and efficiency, enabling off-site manufacturing and nationwide deployment.

Fabrication / Manufacturing Engineer | Houston, TX

$160,000 Base + Bonus + Equity

I'm working exclusively with an early-stage AI infrastructure company that's developing a different approach to how data centres are built and deployed.

Rather than constructing traditional large-scale campuses, they're developing smaller, modular data centres that can be manufactured and integrated off-site before being deployed across the US.

They're now looking for a Fabrication / Manufacturing Engineer to play a key role in taking their designs through to production.

This isn't about joining an established manufacturing operation. It's an opportunity to help build one.

You’ll be involved in:

• Developing fabrication and manufacturing processes for modular infrastructure
• Working alongside electrical, mechanical and thermal engineering teams
• Taking designs from prototype through to repeatable production
• Improving assembly methods, quality and manufacturing efficiency
• Helping establish the processes needed to scale production

We're particularly interested in speaking with engineers from modular construction, prefabricated infrastructure, power equipment manufacturing and complex electromechanical systems.
