Job summary

Electrolux Home Products, Inc. in Springfield, TN, is seeking a Press Manager to support the Press Team on the 2nd shift.

The role oversees cavity fabrication, enameling, silkscreen and gluing, and includes production planning, scheduling, quality, and people management in a true lean manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will lead safety and continuous improvement initiatives, drive waste reduction, and collaborate with Production and Purchasing to manage engineering changes while

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years relevant experience, or 10 years relevant experience.
  • Experience in Six Sigma or lean manufacturing environments.
  • Proven productivity improvements and waste reduction.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional projects and drive organizational change.

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement to enhance safety across operations.
  • Reduce waste, scrap, rework, and downtime to cut costs.
  • Lead departmental CI projects to strengthen execution and results.
  • Improve first-pass yield through process optimization and problem solving.
  • Coordinate engineering changes and ensure documentation is accurate.
  • Collaborate with Production and Purchasing to manage materials affected by changes.
  • Support data management and analysis for special projects.
  • Ensure EMS and ISO 9000/14000 compliance.

Where you’ll be:

This position will be based in Springfield, TN to support Press Team on 2nd shift.

All about the role:

The Press Manager is required assist the director in all aspects of the department. Main duties include oversight of a large, fast paced cavity fabrication, enameling, silkscreen and gluing areas. This position includes production, scheduling, quality and people management along with working closely with assembly customers, abiding by true lean manufacturing principles.

What you’ll do:
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety performance across all operations.
  • Reduce operational waste, including scrap, rework, and downtime, to improve efficiency and cost performance.
  • Lead departmental continuous improvement projects to strengthen operational execution and overall business results.
  • Improve first-pass yield and quality of finished components through process optimization and problem-solving.
  • Increase productivity and operational effectiveness within the assigned manufacturing area.
  • Reduce consumption of environmental resources, including water, natural gas, and electricity, while supporting sustainability goals.
  • Partner with supervisors and hourly team members to foster continuous learning, skills development, and employee engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with Electrolux Manufacturing System (EMS) standards and applicable ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 requirements.
  • Provide site-wide support for special projects, with a focus on data management, analysis, and consolidation.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement engineering changes, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant.
  • Collaborate with Production and Purchasing teams to manage materials affected by engineering changes and prevent unnecessary procurement.
  • Maintain clear communication with key engineering stakeholders regarding the status and progress of engineering change implementation.
  • Coordinate inventory rotation strategies to minimize scrap, rework, and obsolescence associated with engineering changes.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree plus minimum 5 years relevant experience OR a minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working within a Six Sigma and/or other structured quality or lean manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success in driving productivity improvements and implementing waste reduction initiatives.
  • Proven ability to achieve long-term business objectives and lead projects that drive organizational change across all levels of a manufacturing facility.
