Job summary

Parallel Employment’s Floor Tech position in Sturtevant, WI seeks a motivated technician for fabrication, machining, and maintenance in a fast-paced job shop. You will read blueprints, lay out parts, and operate punch press and milling equipment to produce fabricated components and assemblies.

Experience reading drawings and metal fabrication is essential, with TIG welding experience preferred. This is a full-time role with on-the-job training and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with metal fabrication, machining, and assembly.
• Detail-oriented with commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Lay out parts and materials according to engineering prints.
• Operate punch press equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform manual machining operations, including milling.
• Cut, shape, and prepare metal materials for fabrication.
• TIG welding experience preferred (certification not required).
• Assemble fabricated components and finished products.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and basic repairs.
• Maintain awareness of inventory levels and assist with inventory organization as needed.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals and customer requirements.
