Job summary

Pilgrim seeks an experienced maintenance supervisor for our Texas plant, responsible for enforcing safety, food safety, and government programs, directing maintenance work, and ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency. You will coordinate with planning, report equipment issues, and lead a team to deliver reliable, quality service.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on maintenance skills, and a commitment to HACCP and safety standards to keep operations compliant and productive.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safety policy and procedures are adhered to in all plant areas.
• Ensures food safety, HACCP and government programs are followed with emphasis on continuous compliance.
• Directs assigned employees in the performance of approved maintenance work.
• Works closely with scheduler/planner on all assigned work schedules.
• Advises superiors of equipment failure or items requiring maintenance.
• Ensures the production department receives prompt, efficient service to operate at maximum efficiency.
• Reduces production downtime due to mechanical failure or maintenance problems.
• Executes all maintenance and assigned work in his/her area in the plant.
• Accountable for the efficiency and effectiveness of all labor and resources under supervision.
• Performs other duties related to the above as assigned.

Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Insures that all aspects of the company safety policy and procedures are adhered to in the direct and indirect areas of the plant
• Insures that all aspects of the food safety, HAACP and Government programs are adhered to with emphasis on the continue compliance to these programs
• Directs assigned employees in the performance of approved maintenance work
• Works closely with scheduler/planner on all assigned work schedules
• Advises superiors and other appropriate members of the engineering department of equipment failure or items requiring maintenance
• Insures the production department receive the prompt, efficient, and quality service require to operate at maximum efficiency
• Reduce production downtime due to mechanical failure or maintenance problems
• Execution of all maintenance and assigned work in his/her area in the plant
• Accountable for the efficiency and effectiveness of all labor & resources under supervision
• And any other duties as reasonably associated with the above duties as assigned
