Job summary

Automation Movers International is seeking a Fab/Machine Buyer to support purchasing materials, supplies, and services at favorable terms. The role requires evaluating bids, negotiating prices, and maintaining vendor information to ensure timely delivery and quality.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, tracking cost savings, and coordinating with shipping and accounting to manage PO accuracy and RMAs. A AA or equivalent and 7+ years related experience are expected.

• Reads blueprints.
• Tracks and records cost savings in system.

Responsibilities

• Purchase commodities as assigned by Purchasing Manager, negotiating for best price while maintaining quality and delivery.
• Creates and maintains working relationship with vendors.
• Reads blueprints.
• Tracks cost savings (hard and soft).
• Follows up on open orders and monitors supplier quality/delivery.
• Coordinates with Shipping/Receiving to arrange transportation of purchases.
• Manages RMAs and returns with Accounting and Shipping.
• Inspects exchanged/refunded merchandise and supports inventory reduction.
