Job summary

QXO is seeking a Machine Operator in Pasadena, TX to safely produce quality products in a team environment, following customer work orders and gaining cross-training on lamination equipment.

This safety-sensitive position requires lifting up to 50 lbs, adherence to Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, and accurate setup and adjustments. Local travel is possible, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• If operating a Company Vehicle, a valid driver’s license will be required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing work environment.
• Prior forklift experience is preferred.
• Proven track record of good attendance and being on time according to work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate up to two different types of manual equipment (e.g., router, bandsaw, pipe cover saw, curved segment saw, miter saw, hullboard machine) as per work orders.
• Understand purchase orders and product descriptions and determine manufacturing requirements.
• Understand all functions of the machine and perform adjustments, blade changes, and basic setup.
• Set up or change over the machine for new jobs and perform necessary blade/tools changes.
• Maintain safety procedures and report any issues to supervisor.
• Ensure products meet required dimensions and quality standards.
• Follow Lock Out / Tag Out safety procedures.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and assist with housekeeping and area cleaning.
• Participate in safety training sessions and keep workspace clean and organized.
• Complete all tasks efficiently and as instructed; perform other duties as assigned.
