Job summary

Henderson Products Inc. in Manchester, IA is seeking a Fabricator to set up and operate fabrication machines and interpret blueprints to manufacture parts to specifications.

You will maintain quality, follow SOPs, and engage in daily 5S activities while supporting safety standards and teamwork for uninterrupted production. The role emphasizes measuring, reading drawings, and identifying steel gauges, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic shop math, ability to read a tape measure and utilize a protractor.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
• Calculate tonnage for punching and shearing.
• Ability to identify various types and gauges of steel.
• Ability to operate overhead hoist.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
• Produce quality parts that meet daily production requirements.
• Utilize blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to manufacture quality products.
• Read and interpret blueprints to fabricate parts to specification.
• Apply basic shop math and accurately use a tape measure and protractor.
• Identify various types and gauges of steel.
• Operate assigned equipment within a designated functional area.
• Operate overhead hoists and material-handling equipment safely.
• Monitor quality standards and support scrap reduction initiatives.
• Communicate effectively, timely, and professionally with team members and supervisors.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental and production goals.
• Maintain established housekeeping and 5S standards.
• Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Work overtime as needed to meet production demands.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
