Job summary

Grid Structures seeks a dedicated Material Handler to perform manual material handling and assist craft workers in steel fabrication projects. You will operate a forklift and overhead crane, position components, and keep work areas clean and safe.

Responsibilities include using hand tools and basic equipment while following supervisor directions to ensure timely, accurate fabrication for the electric utility industry.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Basic knowledge of shop math.
• Adhere to all safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist fitters, welders, and CNC operators by positioning and aligning components.
• Operate forklift and overhead crane to move materials.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area.
• Complete duties per supervisor instructions.
• Use punches, grinders, drills, saws, oxy-fuel torches and basic tools.
• Move and transfer materials safely with overhead cranes.
