Job summary

MPE Inc. in Sturtevant, WI is seeking a dedicated Fabrication General Labor Team Member to join our production facility, performing fabrication assembly, inserting, press brake operation, and laser/turret tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Shift options include 1st 6:00am-2:30pm and 2nd 2:30pm-10:30pm with a $1 shift premium on second shift. A high school diploma and basic blueprint reading are required; cross-training across processes is encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior manufacturing experience, ideally in fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and work instructions; basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure.
• Willingness to be cross-trained across multiple production processes and comfortable working with hand tools, power tools, and production machinery.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication Assembly: Assemble fabricated metal components and subassemblies using hand and power tools.
• Inserting: Install threaded inserts, studs, or fasteners into metal parts with proper placement.
• Press Brake Operation: Set up and operate press brake equipment and inspect parts for accuracy.
• Laser/Turret Operation: Load material and operate laser or turret punch equipment per specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints and quality specs to ensure parts meet requirements.
• Inspect completed parts with calipers, tape measures, and gauges for conformance.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area per safety policies.
