Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a hands-on Fabrication Foreman/Technician in Alameda, CA to build advanced industrial equipment. The role covers TIG welding, fabrication, machining, and assembly from prototype through production, with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of TIG welding experience, reads mechanical drawings, and can operate common machine shop equipment. This onsite position offers a competitive salary and benefits, with visa sponsorship available if

Qualifications

3+ years of TIG welding and fabrication in manufacturing, industrial, or prototype settings.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and assembly documentation.
Experience with stainless steel fabrication and precision welding techniques.

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality TIG welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, and specialty alloys.
Prepare materials, fit-up components, and execute clean, repeatable welds.
Fabricate brackets, frames, enclosures, fixtures, and support structures from engineering drawings.
Cut, drill, tap, bend, grind, and finish materials to specification.
Operate mills, lathes, drill presses, bandsaws, and grinders.
Assemble complex mechanical and pneumatic systems and route wiring harnesses.
