Job Summary

The Fabrication Supervisor will oversee the fabrication operations within the manufacturing facility, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. This role involves managing a team of plasma table and brake press operators, coordinating projects, and collaborating with other departments to meet production goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervision: Lead and manage a team of plasma table and brake press operators, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Quality Control: Ensure all processes meet industry standards and specifications. Conduct regular inspections and audits of quality.
• Safety Compliance: Promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting safety training for team members.
• Production Planning: Collaborate with the production manager / plant manager to schedule and prioritize projects based on production timelines.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to processes and techniques to enhance efficiency and reduce waste using Lean principles.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that equipment is properly maintained and serviced regularly.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of department operations, including production reports, quality inspections, and employee performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training preferred.
• Proven experience in machine operation, with at least two years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of machine techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and fumes.
