Job summary

Actalent is seeking a CAD Drafter / Fabrication Drafter to support a variety of custom fabrication projects in Brooklyn, NY. The role focuses on creating fabrication-ready drawings, shop drawings, and documentation for experiential environments, retail displays, and exhibits.

You will develop assemblies and BOMs using Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or Inventor, collaborate with production teams, and manage multiple projects with attention to detail while meeting production deadlines.

Qualifications

• 1+ year drafting experience in fabrication environment.
• Proficiency in Fusion 360, SolidWorks or Inventor.
• Experience creating shop drawings, fabrication packages, and production docs.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical drawings and shop drawings for fabrication projects.
• Develop fabrication packages including BOMs and production docs.
• Use parametric 3D modeling to generate fabrication-ready models.
• Translate concepts into buildable components.
• Document fabrication and engineering intent clearly.
• Revise drawings based on production requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams to meet deadlines.
• Manage multiple active projects with accuracy.
• Support fast-turn fabrication with minimal supervision.
