Job summary

Andersen Corporation in Garland, TX is seeking a dedicated manufacturing/production associate to support fabrication, supermarket and assembly operations. You will help manage material flow, follow safety procedures, and work with cross-functional teams to meet standard work and SQDC goals.

The role emphasizes learning AMS, continuous improvement, and participating in employee engagement while maintaining flexibility to support varying customer demand and plant needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• PIT training or fork license required for some tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Ability to read and understand reports and cross-train on several operations.

Responsibilities

• Work in a safe manner and follow safety requirements.
• Follow all procedures, standardized work, control plans, and product specs.
• Identify training needs and propose ideas to improve quality metrics.
• Learn and implement AMS and continuous improvement concepts.
• Support employee engagement activities.
• Follow defined clean-up times.
• Engage in cross-training to maintain flexibility.
• Work to an established rate per customer demand and standardized work.
• Operate PIT and other material handling equipment as required.
• Operate manufacturing equipment and hand tools as required.
• Participate in defining and improving standard work.
• Identify problems and communicate issues to leads and supervisors.
• Use problem solving tools to improve SQDC.
• Assist with training co-workers.
• Support a respectful workplace.
• Perform other duties as directed.
