Job summary

Andersen Corporation in Texas is seeking a reliable production colleague to join our fabrication, supermarket, and assembly operations. You will help manage material flow and support safe, efficient manufacturing in a fast-paced plant setting.

You will learn AMS and continuous improvement concepts, participate in training, and contribute to standard work and quality metrics while collaborating with leads and supervisors to meet customer demand.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Basic computer skills required
• PIT training / fork license for some tasks
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, repetitive motion, and stand for long periods
• Ability to read and understand reports and willingness to cross-train on several operations
• Strong communication, teamwork, problem solving, and leadership skills
• Dependability and punctuality
• Basic understanding of window and door manufacturing requirements

Responsibilities

• Work in a safe manner and follow safety requirements
• Follow procedures, standardized work, control plans, and product specifications
• Assist in identifying training needs and improve quality metrics
• Learn AMS and continuous improvement concepts
• Support employee engagement activities
• Meet defined clean-up times
• Cross-train to support resource planning
• Work to an established rate per customer demand
• Operate PIT and other material handling equipment
• Operate manufacturing equipment and hand tools
• Help define and improve standard work
• Identify problems and communicate with leads and supervisors
• Use problem solving tools to improve SQDC
• Assist with training co-workers
• Support a respectful workplace
• Perform other duties as directed by supervision or management
