Job summary

Valdese Weavers LLC, a textile mill in Valdese, NC, seeks a Sample Clerk to support the Sales and Sample department. You will pull sample orders, arrange colorlines, label items, and help maintain accurate records for efficient ordering and delivery.

Under ISO 9001 work instructions, you will also assist cloth cutters, sample utilities, and the sample shipping clerk as needed, with potential for overtime including Saturdays. Prior sewing experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Pull sample orders.
• Overlock masters and colorline flags, sew flags to leader cloth, apply stickers.
• Layout master, flags and coordinates per instructions; book colorlines.
• Apply content labels and collection labels to line items.
• Maintain records of completed work and inventory on shelves and tubes.
• Assemble memo cards and assist shipping clerks as needed.

Valdese Weavers offers a positive, productive, and progressive environment, along with excellent benefits.Pay Rate: $16.50Shift Premium & Attendance Bonus: $17.12DEPARTMENT: SampleREPORTS TO: Sample SupervisorSCOPE: Make samples for distribution to sales reps and customers.TOOLS USED: Scissors, staple gun, overlocker sewing machine, glue gun and tweezersREQUIRED PRODUCTION: Assigned DailyESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Safety:Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.Report all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.Attendance:Maintain personal attendance practices that meet established company goals.Work Ethics:Maintain personal work habits which meet the demands and stresses of the job.Meet deadlines and production quotas.Get along with co-workers.Follow instructions.Work scheduled overtime, may include 10 hr days and/or Sat/Sun work.4.
