Job summary

IPG is seeking a fabric rewinder/operator to prepare, rewind, and finish fabric rolls to meet customer specifications. You will thread, run, and adjust machines, wrap and label finished rolls, and help with packaging and palletizing as needed.

The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols, including wearing safety shoes and hearing protection. Prior machine operator experience is preferred, with a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous experience as a machine operator preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and production procedures.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Team player.

Responsibilities

• Rewind large rolls by threading up the machine and running rolls to customers' desired lengths.
• Wrap and identify finished rolls of fabric and bundle or palletize if required.
• Tag rolls for identification.
• Rewind rolls on hold by threading up and running roll to the area of flaw, remove flaw by splicing it if required.
• Conduct quality checks on material as required.
• Clean up, sweep area around the machine including the main aisle.
• Bundle and bail scrap material.
• Wear safety shoes and hearing protection at all times.
