Job summary

Golden Touch in New York is seeking an Assistant Fabric Researcher to support the fabric R&D team. You will manage testing, PLM data, and fabric records while carrying your own workload alongside the Associate Fabric Researcher.

You will handle requests from Design, organize new fabric qualities from mills, and coordinate with overseas teams. The role emphasizes attention to detail, data accuracy, and strong communication in a global environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in fashion or textiles or related field.
• Internship or coursework in fabric library, R&D, or raw materials environment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with data entry.
• Organized and able to track a high volume of open items without dropping them.
• Clear written communication, including with overseas partners for whom English is a second language.

Responsibilities

• Support the Associate Fabric Researcher on day-to-day fabric research and development work.
• Assist in fabric research across knits, wovens, seamless, and sweaters.
• Log fabric requests from Design for the team and create development documents.
• Receive, log, and organize new fabric qualities from mills and suppliers.
• Send fabric packages to Shanghai, India, and Bangladesh and track receipt.
• Pull together fabric information and reference materials for the team.
• Manage the testing tracker and keep submissions current.
• Prepare Walmart test sample requests and log submissions.
• Record test results and raise issues to the Associate Fabric Researcher.
• Maintain complete testing records in PLM.
• Help build and maintain the fabric library and reference materials.
• File all submissions and approvals into the records.
