About the Role

We’re looking for a Fabric Engineer to play a key role in building and shaping a modern data platform powered by Microsoft Fabric.

In this role, you’ll work on high-impact initiatives that directly improve how data is used across the business, from operational reporting to advanced analytics. You’ll design scalable data pipelines, improve data quality and visibility, and help establish a more mature, DevOps-driven approach to data delivery.

You’ll collaborate closely with teams across Data, Product, Engineering, and operations, giving you strong exposure to both technical and business challenges. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys solving real‑world data problems, working with modern tools, and taking ownership in a collaborative, fast‑moving environment.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and evolve data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including pipelines, dataflows, lakehouses, and warehouses
  • Develop scalable and reusable data ingestion processes across multiple data sources, including APIs, databases, and third‑party systems
  • Build and optimise data models that improve data quality, consistency, and accessibility across the organisation
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into effective data solutions
  • Implement monitoring, validation, and alerting to ensure data reliability and trust
  • Deliver high‑quality, analytics‑ready datasets for reporting tools such as Power BI
  • Introduce and promote DevOps best practices, including version control, CI/CD, and structured release processes
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to align data solutions with wider system architecture and integrations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data issues, ensuring high availability and accuracy of data assets
  • Contribute to best practices, documentation, and standards across the data platform
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve efficiency through better use of data
  • Stay current with Microsoft Fabric and cloud data technologies, bringing new ideas and improvements
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or similar role
  • Strong experience building and maintaining data pipelines across multiple data sources
  • Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure data technologies
  • Strong SQL skills for transforming, validating, and analysing data
  • Experience using Python (or similar) for automation and data processing
  • Experience working with Git and version control in team environments
  • Experience supporting reporting and business intelligence through well‑structured datasets
  • Strong understanding of modern cloud data engineering practices
  • Ability to build reliable, scalable, and maintainable data pipelines
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with a proactive and analytical mindset
  • Ability to work closely with stakeholders and translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work across cross‑functional teams
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and quality
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
Nice to Have
  • Degree in Computer Science, Data, or a related field
  • Microsoft, Azure, or data‑related certifications
  • Experience with data quality frameworks, validation, and monitoring
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices for data platforms
  • Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools
  • Familiarity with medallion architecture or metadata‑driven pipeline design
  • Experience with real‑time or near real‑time data processing
  • Understanding of data governance and data platform best practices
  • Comfortable working in fast‑paced, evolving environments
  • Passion for learning and staying up to date with modern data technologies
Benefits
