Trace3 in Irvine, CA, seeks a Fabric Data Engineer to accelerate the enterprise Data Modernization program by building scalable, metadata-driven ETL pipelines in Microsoft Fabric. You will implement medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) with PySpark notebooks, ensure data quality across layers, and collaborate with the data-engineering team to transfer knowledge and enable enterprise reporting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on data engineering experience building production ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience designing metadata-driven data pipelines (parameterized, configuration-based patterns).
• Strong proficiency in Python, including notebook-based data-processing (PySpark).
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Databricks, including notebooks and Lakehouse/Warehouse objects.
• Experience implementing medallion data architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) with validation and historization.
• Working knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms (Azure preferred).
• Strong troubleshooting and ability to document designs for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain metadata-driven data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric, reusable across sources.
• Develop a metadata/configuration-driven framework for ingestion, transformation, and load behavior.
• Standardize ingestion patterns using parameterized notebooks to simplify maintenance.
