Job summary

Key responsibilities include setting up and monitoring Gerber machines, loading fabrics, verifying markers, ensuring grain and nap orientation, maximizing material utilization, and performing routine maintenance to keep equipment in optimal condition.

Qualifications

• Experience operating Gerber automated cutting systems.
• Ability to read and interpret Gerber markers and layouts.
• Strong understanding of upholstery fabrics (fabric, leather, synthetics).
• Attention to detail and accuracy in cutting operations.
• Knowledge of safety practices for automated cutting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor Gerber automated cutting machines.
• Load, spread, and align upholstery fabrics and materials.
• Verify Gerber markers and cutting programs for accuracy.
• Ensure proper fabric orientation (grain, nap, pattern).
• Monitor cutting performance for high-quality output.
• Inspect cut components for defects and completeness.
• Maximize material utilization and minimize waste.
• Perform routine maintenance, including blade changes.
• Track production output and report issues.
