Job summary

OFS is seeking an experienced Fabric Cutter/Operator for its seating division in a fast-paced environment. You will measure, cut, and inspect fabrics using Lectra machines and hand tools, focusing on minimizing waste and upholding quality.

Ideal candidates have proven cutting experience, knowledge of upholstery materials, vinyl, and leather, plus strong attention to detail and teamwork to keep workflow efficient.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Fabric Cutter, preferably with Lectra cutting machines.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD programs.
• Strong knowledge of fabric types including upholstery material, vinyl and leather.
• Previous cutting and inspection experience.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• General computer skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Fabric Cutting
  • Accurately measure and cut fabric according to specified patterns and designs
  • Utilize Lectra cutting machines and hand-cutting tools to achieve precise cuts
  • Ensure minimal fabric wastage through efficient cutting techniques
• Inspection
  • Inspect incoming fabrics for defects and inconsistencies
  • Identify and document any defects, ensuring that quality standards are upheld
• General Duties
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
  • Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure efficient workflow
