Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Microsoft Fabric Administrator to lead the administration, governance, security, and performance of its enterprise Fabric environment. You will partner with Data Engineering, Architecture, Security, and business teams to ensure a scalable, secure analytics platform.

The role requires Fabric tenant administration, capacity management, security controls, gateway administration, and CI/CD deployments, plus ongoing platform monitoring and data governance initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure services (Identity, Networking, Storage, DevOps).
• 2+ years of hands-on Microsoft Fabric administration experience.
• Strong Fabric security experience incl. RLS/OLS, workspace permissions, tenant governance.
• Experience with on-premises and VNet data gateways in hybrid environments.
• Fabric deployment pipelines, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions; automation with PowerShell/REST APIs/Python.
• Microsoft Purview, data governance, sensitivity labels, and DLP policies.
• Strong SQL skills with Lakehouse/Medallion Architectures.

Job description

• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure services (Identity, Networking, Storage, DevOps)
• 2+ years of hands-on Microsoft Fabric administration experience
• Strong expertise with Microsoft Fabric components (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, Dataflows, Notebooks, Power BI, Real-Time Analytics)
• Experience managing Fabric capacities, monitoring performance, and optimizing costs
• Strong Power BI/Fabric security experience, including RLS, OLS, workspace permissions, and tenant governance
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, service principals, app registrations, API access, and credential management
• Experience administering on-premises and VNet data gateways in hybrid environments
• Experience with Fabric deployment pipelines, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and automation using PowerShell, REST APIs, or Python
• Experience with Microsoft Purview, data governance, sensitivity labels, and DLP policies
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with Lakehouse or Medallion Architecture environments

Nice to Have:

• Microsoft Fabric certifications (DP-600 or DP-700)
• Experience supporting analytics platforms within a legal or professional services organization
• Data Mesh governance experience
• ServiceNow and ITSM workflow experience
• Backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity experience for cloud analytics platforms
• Experience with AI governance, Fabric AI capabilities, and Microsoft Purview compliance controls
• Strong documentation, training, and stakeholder communication skills

This person will serve as the platform SME, partnering with Data Engineering, Architecture, Security, and business teams to ensure a scalable, secure, and cost-effective analytics platform. Responsibilities include Fabric tenant administration, capacity management, security controls, gateway administration, CI/CD deployments, platform monitoring, and data governance initiatives.

Compensation:

$80,000 to $120,000 per year annual salary. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role may include healthcare
